Eagles Remain Unbeaten in NAC

BANGOR, ME- The Husson University Eagles bested the Eagles of Green Mountain College 16-6 at Husson’s Boucher Field.  Meg Clement (Jr., Brunswick, ME) tallied six goals on the victory.  With the win, Husson remains undefeated in the North Atlantic Conference East Division with a record of 4-0 and 7-1-1 overall while Green Mountain falls to 1-3 in the NAC and 4-5 overall.  

Husson’s Jami Ladd (So., Berlin, VT) scored the first goal of the game on a free position shot just 1:16 into the first half.  Husson’s Megan Clement (Jr., Brunswick, ME) scored two of her six goals on the day in the first half, helping the Eagles lead at the half by a score of 9-3.  Green Mountain’s Bryanna Astor (Fy., Milltown, NJ) recorded two of her three goals on the day in the first half. 
 
Clement started the second half scoring spree with a goal just 0:55 into the half, giving Husson a 10-3 lead.  Green Mountain Eagle Amanda Malkin (Jr., Barrylakes, NJ) made a dent in the score with two second half goals to bring the score to 11-5.  However, Clement was too much for Green Mountain to handle, scoring four second half goals giving the Husson Eagles their seventh win on the season.
Kelsey Allan (So., Jupiter, FL) collected 18 saves on the day for Green Mountain while Astor led the Green Mountain Eagles with three goals.  Clement lead Husson with six goals on the day along with teammate Megan O’Neil (Fy., Hartford, VT) who tallied up two goals and two assists.  Shelby Bradford (Sr., Lee, ME) was able to score one goal and three assists.  Nine different Eagles scored in the winning effort.
