Dawning of a New Era
Husson University is thrilled to announce upgrades to Boucher Field, the Eagles’ Soccer and Lacrosse complex. The upgrades are the result of generous donations from John P. Boucher (’66) a former standout on the Husson soccer team in his day and a current member of the Husson University Athletics Hall of Fame. Mr. Boucher once again provided a facelift to the field that bears his name; the upgrades include a state of the art press box and lighting system. The press box will provide a venue for television and radio broadcasts, print media coverage, public address announcers, statisticians and scoreboard operators. The addition of lights on Boucher Field will provide enhanced opportunities for athletic contests, now that Husson teams can compete at night, the marketing possibilities are on a much larger scale. Lights also provide expanded training possibilities resulting in less class conflicts and on-campus recreational events that affect the entire student community at Husson.
